Greetings!
By the time you get this email, Raindance will be airborne...

We're on our way to Cannes, to work(?) and to party. I'm a newbie to this Cannes lark, though I do have experience of sitting on beaches and getting drunk, so apparently I'll be fine.

Whether you're going or not, hopefully the following information will be useful. We'll be updating our site daily, so remember to check back.

See you soon...

Let's Get Lost Not Going to Cannes?

If we're not going to see you in Cannes, why not come and join us then at our Film Club exclusive on May 21 at the Horse Hospital.

We'll be showing Bruce Weber's film about jazz legend Chet Baker, LET'S GET LOST. Released on June 6, you can catch it a full two weeks early at our Raindance screening.

Travelling with the elusive jazz vocalist and trumpeter Chet Baker, Weber weaves together the life story of a jazz great. The film uses excerpts from Italian B movies, rare performance footage, and candid interviews with Baker, musicians, friends, battling ex-wives and his children in what turned out to be the last year of his life.

We also have the UK premier of Bruce Weber's latest short film, WINE AND CUPCAKES.

WHAT: LET'S GET LOST
WHERE: The Horse Hospital, Colonnade, Bloomsbury (behind Russell Square tube station) WC1N 1HX.
WHEN: May 21

La Antena Win! Win! Win!

'Unmissable' ***** Empire

'This is a full-on experience, a 98-minute sweep through cinematic history, breathtaking in its audacity and imagination.' Sight and Sound

'Every now and then, a knockout film comes along that reaffirms your faith in all things cinematic. Here's one such flick.' FILM OF THE MONTH Bizarre

A festival favourite from last year, and one of the short-listed films for the Official Selection competition, the incredible LA ANTENA is released in cinemas from this Friday 16 May.

A monochrome, almost dialogue-free, love letter to cinema's most innovative talents, LA ANTENA tells the story of an entire city which has lost its voice. Mr. TV, the owner of the city's only television channel, is carrying out a sinister, secret plan to subject all of the city's inhabitants to his will forever more. But he hasn't reckoned on The Inventor.

To celebrate the film opening at the ICA, Dogwoof are kindly giving away ten of the cinema posters for this sensational film - the first ten to e-mail oli@dogwoof.com with the answer to the following question will be the lucky winners:

LA ANTENA was made in which country?
